I imagine there was a preflash that burned the group into the photo, then they walked out of the frame.

@pixcellz Take a look at 7:43 for exif data. ISO: 12,800, 3 second exposure (we held our breath), f/2.8. Charles on the right (in the orange pants) was laughing, you can see he’s blurry.

@stevelemenop exposure time doesn’t affect focus, it affects blur. I manually focused and the shot was only 3 seconds. We held our breath.
